I tried to implement QQ, our adorable penguin mascot, in as many things as possible.

2021 Lunar New Year gift
2021 is the year of the Ox. I designed a pastoral themed card and box to go with the limited-edition cow plush. In contrast to last year’s box, which was cute and peaceful, I decided to go with something more detailed and vibrant.
After creating a library of flowers in Illustrator, I placed and tweaked them to form the shape of an ox’s head, the border around Tencent Cloud’s logo, and also the ornaments on the postcard.
Included in this year’s box is an Ox plush with a removable jacket and a postcard.
2020 Lunar New Year gift
Continuing with the Chinese zodiac-themed gift box from 2019, I designed a mouse themed box for the year 2020. The box included a limited edition penguin-mouse plush, postcard, and cup. I wanted a design that was cute, but also gave the sense of peace. And so came the idea of a mouse (modeled after a peach) enjoying some flowers.
2019 Lunar New Year gift
2019 was the Year of the Pig and also the year we launched the Chinese Zodiac gift campaign.
Committing to the pig theme, I designed a piggy box and piggy postcard to match the limited edition penguin-pig plush we’d be sending. I wanted this year’s design to have a paper cut-out effect that is reminiscent to Chinese paper puppetry.
In addition to the pig-plushie, we also included a sticker of our penguin mascot, QQ, postcard, and graphic tee.
2019 Holiday client dinner
Tencent Cloud hosted a dinner to thank all their clients. For party favors, we handed out Casper pillows and also sent out double-walled mugs with hot cocoa mix for guests who could not attend. I designed all the cards and signage to have gold or silver foil line art to add a little tinsel-like pop!
